Services Funded by the Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board

The Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board is part of a national network of organizations involved in workforce preparation and employment.  Board activities and programs are designed to meet both the needs of the communities' businesses and the needs of job seekers and those who want to further their careers.

The most important aspect of the network is its focus on meeting the needs of businesses for skilled workers and the training, education, and employment needs of individuals. Listed below are a few of the services available to employers, adults, and youth through the Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board. Services are provided by a variety of service providers located around the workforce area, comprised of Grundy, Livingston, and Kankakee Counties.

In addition to our physical locations, we now offer accessibility to Illinois workNet at a variety of locations in the three-county area.  Illinois workNet is a portal for connecting employers and job seekers and expanding economic opportunity in Illinois.  The Illinois workNet was launched in June 2005 by the Governor’s Illinois Workforce Investment Board (IWIB).  The portal is a cooperative effort between state economic development, workforce development, education agencies, and local workforce investment boards along with their public and private partners including local governments, community colleges and non-profit organizations.  It is designed to provide easy access to information and services through a network of public and private partners.
